| The
W.O.W.S.E. Foundation was the brainchild of principal agent
Brian Rice. Brian and several of his business and social peers
wanted to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged
children through implementing local fundraisers.
Through
much discussion and research they decided to form the W.O.W.S.E.
Foundation (With or Without Someone Else,) and have more direct
impact and involvement in where and how their money was being
allocated.
The Foundation
has trustees that provide legal, accounting and fundraising
support. The goal of the Foundation is to hold several fundraising
events throughout the year, develop a direct mail campaign
for individual giving and invite corporations to support the
foundation by sponsoring our events and providing philanthropic
gifts.
A grant
application process will be in place at the end of the year
for organizations that support the mission of the W.O.W.S.E.
Foundation. A committee will review all applications and make
a decision based on individual grant guidelines.
The W.O.W.S.E.
Foundation will develop a system to track approved organizations
and the W.O.W.S.E. funded programs. The "best" practices
from each funded program will be made available to all non-profits.
